i may have to work in another town for a few weeks this summer and would need childcare while there. do any of you take children on a temporary basis. it would be 6-8 weeks about and part time only. would it be unreasonable to ask for this or should i just try and find a nanny who could cover me for this time. can't really afford the nanny option but would obviously do it if there was no other option.
thanks for your help

Not unreasonable at all. If people have a space they would be mad not to take on any work no matter if its for a short time or not. I have a space available just for short term contracts like yours, although I do work with an assistant when I need to. We have a baby starting part time next week for 3 months. 3 months is better than leaving the space open and helps parents out even for just a short time. I have had children for just 1 day or 9 years. Hope you find someone.
