my mindee is not getting collected until 10pm tonight, shes been here since 6 this morning.
She is fast asleep in her bed and mum just picks up, puts in car and pts her to bed at home.
i have been walking for miles with her(in buggy) today, been to groups and 2 parks, am dying for a bath, but dont know if i should even do that??, as shes down stairs?(dp is also down there, but of course he's not registered??(argh, red tape)...but sooooooooo want to put my joggy/sleeping bottoms on and chill out..they are grey, quite smart joggers..would you think i was a slovenly sloth if you turned up at 10pm and i was dressed in these??..please say no, these bloody trousers are digging into me now!

If I turned up at 10pm to collect a child I wouldn't bat an eyelid even if you were in pj's or a dressing gown. I've never had to mind a child as late as that though, so don't know what I'd myself

princesscc · 01/05/2007 20:53

Oh love! Get ya slobs on!!! Surely the parent wouldn't object, you've been looking after her child since 6 this morning for goodness sake!

themoon66 · 01/05/2007 20:54

I'd be in pyjamas, dressing gown and slippers TBH. With a curler stuck in my fringe.

PinkChick · 01/05/2007 20:54

BTW, I've been known to have my hair tied up in a towel on a Friday night sometimes. You are allowed to have a life you know!

PinkChick · 01/05/2007 20:55

Just not a red frilly negligee Chick

saltire · 01/05/2007 20:57

I never noticed the bit where you said she had been there since 6am - 14 hours and you're worrying in case the mum thinks you're a slob because you want to put your slouch clothes on!
She should be thnkaing he rlucky stars she has a CM prepared to do a 14 hour day for her, and not pay the slightest attention to what you're wearing. Unless of course it's a baby doll nightie

PinkChick · 01/05/2007 20:59

If you were my childminder and had been looking after DD for 16 hours, I would not mind what you were wearing. And I think you should have a bath - the mum isn't due for over an hour.

saltire · 01/05/2007 21:08

. It is 16 hours. It's been a long day.

PinkChick · 01/05/2007 22:14
