I have had the most gorgeous little boy for a year now, and tomorrow the family are moving. They had hoped to stay here, and as Mum is 36 weeks pregnant I was to have the second one, as well.
But the Army in their wisdom have posted them
I will miss him soooooooooooo much, how is it some of the children just get right under your heart.

I asked his Mum if she would write me a reference, it was wonderful and made me cry.

This is one family I will definitely be staying in touch with.

I had a mindee last year that I really didn't want to leave. She just fitted in so well with my family and friends and the other mindees. Everyone adored her. The family moved, so there was just no way they could bring her to me anymore. I still miss her now. Its part of the job I'm afraid. I can't even begin to imagine how people who foster do it! That must be the pits. Thankfully, my little precious is comig vack to me for 2 weeks in the summer holiday. Although, it will be a whole year later and she might be a different child now. Ultimately though, I feel your pain! You will get over it - you have to.

I know how you feel I have 2 LO's one for the last 4 years and the other for 2 (basically since they were born) family are moving to another country. Whilst I am so happy for the wonderful time they will have I am gutted

I know PCC Ive been doing this job for 26 years, you get attached to some very much, I think that the fact that he has wonderful parents as well, is some of it. At the moment I actually have 5 really wonderful mindees.

I've been doing it for 10 years and luckly for me all the kids I've had still live and go to local schools, so I see all of them, except this one that left me last year! My eldest mindee is now 15 and she still pops in and calls me her auntie now! I know it can be a hell of a job at times, but it is so rewarding. Every one of my mindees still visit me for time to time. I love my job!

my mindee who left as i couldnt get her to school and neither could aprents was at dd's birthday party last week(me and mum are very old friends).as soon as she saw me it was like something from a love story."aunty Joooooooooooooooooooooeeee".l..she egs it across room and i swept her up into my arms...our 'thing' was, when dad use ot pick her up at night, id say "can i keep you" when i was giving her a cuddle bye bye and shed say "No Aunty Joe, ill be back in morning"..at the party, she said to me "aunty Joe, will you keep me now"..i could eat her with a spoon and all through the party she was with me, cuddling me and telling me and anyone else who thought it was cute "i love you Aunty Joe"
