Nanny share ended but being paid the same by remaining family

I am asking on behalf of my nanny who works for another family 3 days a week. She used to work for two families doing nanny share but one family stopped the arrangement and for the past 4 months she has only been paid the nanny share rate by the remaining family. The family will also cancel one day a week at short notice and not pay her for this day or pay and expect her to babysit two nights for free instead. I am really cross that she is being exploited in this way and not being paid for her services. She has approached the issue a couple of times but they have refused to pay her more than the original rate they used to pay when doing a nanny share. They are also refusing to cover the cost of Ofsted registration which they need for childcare vouchers. Can anyone advise on what she can do? She is a lovely nanny and I hate to see her being treated like this.

Find a new family

Can she afford to turn the work down?
Or find someone else?

I'm sure she could find a new family but she has been with them a while and is trying to resolve it amicably (unsuccessfully it seems!).

She needs to tell them that her rate is £C. Up until now family A have been paying £A and family B have been paying £B as a+b=c. Family A have to either pay her £C or find another family to pay £B

Exactly what Brieandchile says. If they want her service, they have to pay for it. Are either party trying to find another family to join the nanny share?

If the family aren’t willing to pay more, I think she needs to put in her notice, with the reason being that she can’t afford to work on such a low rate. That might give them the kick to they need to up her pay or find another family to share her with rather than loose her.

some people are happy to walk on others and think as long as the other party puts up with it there is no problem as if the shoe was on the other foot if they were not happy tey wouldn't think twice about changing things she needs to say this is what I want or Im off until she does the family will carry on spending her rightful wages on themselves.

She needs to stand firm and refuse to put up with it, especially the short notice cancellations with no pay.

Essentially she is being treated as a zero hours employee, which sucks for her
