So you take your mindees to playgroup and they are then invited to the other children's birthday parties which fall in your hours. What do you about prezzies?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I give the invitation to the parents, and they provide the present.

If you were my cm and were taking my DC to a party I'd provide the present.

It's a bit much to expect you to pay for it but then it wouldn't be nice for you or mindee to have to turn up emptyhanded

But I would not pay for your muffin if you took them to a coffee shop

Hadn't seen the other thread Lact8 so thought you were being mean to me!!
Thanks for opinions on prezzie, I'll include this in changes to my contract I think

I have a couple of nanny friends who look after children the same age as 2 of my mindees. When they were invited to the parties I was more than prepared to buy the gift myself (usually about £5). Both mindees parents insisted on buying a present so we agreed to contribute a £ or 2 and still bought a £5 present.

But I might have to have the cake out of the party bag instead of a muffin!! !!
