i am applying for this soon, not full time just the odd day i will need it..i would say it would depend on age...4 3-5 yr old would be a doddle, but 4 baby-toddlers would be v.difficult

I got one for August for a 8 month, 18 month, and 2 4 year olds the 4 year olds going part time to school in the september till december, when they become 5.

I got variation for a year, 3 days a week but I KNOW that it was down to the fact 2 of them were about to turn 4 (and just have). It was for a newborn baby (sibling), a toddler (17 months when her sister was born) and 2 almost 4 year olds who go to nursery every morning.

Asked for other variations (as the 4 year old mindee left in Feb ) and they were refused due to not being siblings and because it was new business.

If you need help writing the letter, tell us the ages/circumstances and we may be able to help.

I got one last year. I had a 4year old and her 2 year old sister and a 3.5 year old and his 2 year old brother, BUT every other wekk I only had the 2 year old girl, and the boys dad did shifts as well, so I only actually had all 4 togwether about 4 days amonth. I think because they were older and it wasn't every day I was allowed

My current variation (4 children for three full days/week) started when I had a 3 month old, a 20 month old, a 21 month old, and a 27 month old, so it can happen and, as lots of you probably know because I bleat on about it all the time, it was also for new business.

I basically just told Ofsted that I was Mary Poppins. I told them I had lots of experience, had enough car seats/buggy-space/activities/toys/Valium. I am also a quality-assured childminder (not sure if that makes a difference).

Thanks everyone. I was a bit put of applying as this was going to be new business. I am on maternity leave at mo with my 2nd which only leaves one more space and one of my mindees is coming back but she is termtime only with occasional care needed in holidays.
