We've two surveys that need completing actually.
One is sponsored by Gumtree and is about childcare, with top prize of weekend away at luxury family hotel. Only takes a minute and you never know ... it could be you.

The survey is here

And in case that's not enough there's the chance to win £250 of either White company or Space NK vouchers by filling in the what-kids-do-in-the-back-of-the-car survey for Citroen - again only takes a minute and just think of all that retail therapy!

Citroen survey is here

This annoyed me too cos of the "how would you reward your childminder - eg own car, do taxes, free computer access etc"
She's a live-out childminder we pay a sodding fortune for - she's probably better off than us.
Also the question about WHY we employ a childminder doesn't have the answer "because if we both didn't work full time we'd be living in a bin bag under the arches!"

Language on the gumtree one annoyed me too and also there was no general option for using a nursery which is something a lot of working parents do.

This could get me shot but it sounds like it was written by some posh rich mother who has no idea what trying to pay for childcare is really like for most of us and there are people out here who have to get childcare and for whom it is not a choice! grrr.

(sorry)

I think they are probably just considering the angle from their customer base (i.e. people who advertise on gumtree) and that is mostly parentslooking for childcare in theirown home (nannies, mother's hel, au pair, etc.)

I don't think gumtree is the place to advertise nuseries. And while I do occassionally see childminders advertising on there, I think it's more commen to get busness else where (childcarelink, word of mouth, school gate, etc.)
