Nannys London

Hi all,
Just found out I'm pregnant and trying to figure out a few career things.
I was wondering whether anyone could tell me approximately how much it would cost to have a full time nanny? We live in zone 4 and our house is too small to accommodate a live in nanny. I work in the city and leave home around 7-8 and get back home between 6-7. DH works from home for the most part but has to be in the office from time to time and sometimes needs to travel to other cities for a few days. If he was working from home every day I would consider a childminder or nursery but as we can't guarantee that he will always be able to do drop offs and pick ups a nanny might be better. I have a feeling a nanny will probably cost me most of my salary but I'm trying to look at the long run. Any estimates would be very helpful!

A very rough estimate:

12 gross per hour x 60 hours per week = £37,440 gross annual salary.
Payroll admin £250
Pension: £640 (at a guess for April 2018, percentages are changing and there are different ways to calculate it - a payroll company will be able to do you a more detailed projection)
Employers NI: £4040
Activities budget: £600 perhaps
Mileage/Travel: £500 perhaps (how local would activities be?)

So £43k ish.

Thanks that's really helpful.
It would effectively mean I pay everything I earn to the nanny :( I'm on 80k which is around 48k net. It's doable as DH could cover all other expenses on his salary but it would really sting. I guess I will need to look into other jobs that are closer to home that might make the nursery option more feasible.
