If you are doing nursery/school pickups and also have mindee in holidays, would you expect the mindee to be delivered to you at home or would you expect to meet the child with parent at the 'closed' school?

I ask for child to be dropped off at my house!

Katymac · 02/04/2007 20:41

Delivered to your house (usually early, then collected late, inappropriatly dressed & already "BORED" & hungry)

ShoshableEggEater · 02/04/2007 20:51

Delivered to my house!

Not a good day Katy?

Katymac · 02/04/2007 20:56

No actually quite a good one - but no over 8's (except for DD's Best Friend)

I don't do school age very well

ShoshableEggEater · 02/04/2007 20:59

I only had one over 8, one 5/8 and my littles, but we went out fo rthe day so it was easy.

last year I had 4 over 8's and no 5/8's, and that was harder work than the under 5's!

The worst thing is I dont even charge the 20 mins time it takes to get to school but because I cant pick up from their house they want to meet at school - I said no!

I thought you were waiting at home & they were at school....at least you are in the planning stage

TheIronLady · 02/04/2007 21:07

Oh I see - oh god no, can you imagine - doesnt bear thinking of eh!!

I don't think I have ever met a childminder who has been expected to be at a closed school for drop-off (this is one for discussion at the next toddler group!)

I also think that any childminders who actually collect children from their homes are doing parents a big favour - it is not something many of us do as it's not easy to logistically arrange it if you have several children.

dropped off at house
