Do i need a contract for her?

Hi
This sounds about the duties my (wonderful) AP does and I pay her £65 per week pocket money,It must be ok as she has just said she would like to stay for another year which is just about the best news I could have as that will see me all the way through my PGCE year yeh!!!! (If by any chance you are in the Sussex her cousin is looking for a family this summer!!!)

We pay our au pair £55 on the basis that there is only one child to look after and she doesn't have to do that much housework. A contract is a good idea. At the least, I would have a written description of what you want her to do and maybe even a schedule.

Does anyone think London AP s need to get paid more?

I probably don't need 25 hours so might go with £55 for 22 or 23 hours which seems fair?
