Hi,
Just wondering if acreditted childminders supply parents with reports on children's progress?
Atm I am completing my NVQ 3 and have to write a report to a parent on a child's progress. This is not something I have done before and I was wondering if it was a requirment of being accreditted. I am hoping to become acreditted soon, although will only receive funding for my own daughter-so won't write a report to myself! However, in the future I may have funded children so it would be good to be prepared!
Thanks for any info.

Mum2 I get a Progression through the Foundation Stage (Part One)from the DfEE Early years Advisor who I see once a term.

i fill this in as I go along, and once a term I sit down with the parents and go through, talking about how well she has done and what we are aiming for next.

This is for Dorset, on my record form I was given, it says, for more info, refer to The Curriculum Guidance File for the Foundation Stage. DfEE June 2000.

Thanks for the info-there does seem to be a lot of paperwork involved in this. Will have to try to be even more organised!

Crikey-half-termly seems very frequent. Trying at the moment to sort out my themes and long, medium and short term plans. There is so much to remember!
