How would you deal with a 3 year old who hit and kicked you?

I know 3 year olds can be a bit of a handful one minute and wee angels the next, but I think my new nanny is taking it a bit too personally when my 3 year old hits/kicks.

She is "worried" that my ds2 does not like her. I've told her to say "We do not hit in this house" and to ignore it.

He can be a monster and distraction doen't seem to work with him.

How would you handle it?

OMG just re-read the OP, he hits or kicks maybe once a day. It's not like standing there saying "Oh darling please don't kick the nanny!!"

Have u watched the nanny programme, where they use timeout step or chair and reward charts, they r good those programmes and it works. If the nanny just tells him off and leaves it at that he's not really learning he shouldn't do it, unless she gives him a warning after then he needs to mb put on a timeout,3yr olds do understand sometime. He might be he's just being a 3yr old, cud be he don't like her also he cud be doing just for the sake of it. Mean in nurseries u get children who really like their teachers but still be naughty
