Any good ideas, and does anyone have a resource for projects like these?

I am going to make cards, yellow handprint ( to represent a daffodil), green straw as stalk and a leaf.

decorate a photo frame - either buy cheap ones ( 3 for £1.29 from IKEA) or make your own. decorate w stickers, tissue paper balls, whatever you have to hand. Add a photo of LO in your setting, and bingo!

I think with this being my first mothers day as a cm, I am going to go with Saltire's daffodils, that sounds like even I can do that? haha!!

This might be my last year of not getting anything, I am really hoping that our adoption will eventually go through this year then I can be a mummy - at last, although I do always hope my lovely DH might get me something from the cat, but pah! some chance!!!! ;-)

my eldest ds did this at playgroup , he is now 6.5 and I still have it and look at it now and again which brings a tear to the eye.

Take a small box - light bulb box for eg.

Wrap it up using paper that child has sponge painted hearts or flowers on.

Nice ribbon etc and attach the following poem.

This is a very special gift that you can never see...
The reasons its so precious, its just to you from me.
Whenever you are lonely or ever feeling blue...
This gift is your reminder I'm always here with you.
Be sure you dont unwrap it, please leave the ribbon tied..
Just hold it very close to you, its filled with love inside .
