CM Club: Help me with my headache!

A few weeks ago I changed my absence policy to full fee when mindees are off (was half fee or even no fee) to start from 19th Feb.

Anyway mindee1's mum said she would like to change her contract to term time only - usually 15hrs in term time a week, nearly 50hrs a week in holidays.I accepted the change gracefully (i know she gets less financial help now than she used to). I had the new contract ready for her to sign tonight to begin on 19th as wasn't going to b seeing her in the time between.

Mindees dad picked her up instead so I asked mum via text (text as she was still working) if she could and sort contracts at some point before 18th.
She text back - been meaning to talk to you about that...said mindees dad has offered to take her to school in about a month so could she have a contract for a month or does she need to give 4wks notice.

So now I think she needs only after school, term time only. Which is a big big difference in my income. I know she may have to do this but got such a headache from trying to get my head around it!
I have also got a wasted ncma contract that I wrote out for her today. I got less than six hours sleep the other night as she text me at midnight to tell me would be bringing mindee at 6.30am (had a different shift and hadn't warned me). Really feel like saying forget it it's not worth the hassle!

HELP ME!
I need to call her but don't know what to say.

Oh poor u Kay
Do u think u could replace this space soon enough??
Mayb have a word with her and ask her wat hrs she will now need u as U have to think whether it will suit u!
I would keep her on and if u get another phone call in mean time for more hrs...then u know what u have to do!

I know you are right mykidz...burst into tears at your message .

There is a new childminder opened up shop and I feel she is squeezing me out (probably just me being sensitive) - although I do know she has directly approached at least of one my mindees mums to offer her services - knowing I currently mind for them!! So there is definate competition in the area!!

May be able to get a new mindee but although the little girl is hard work (as are all 7yr old girls) she is lovely and thinks a lot of me (wrote me a lovely note today that I am the best childminder and I have an activity house).... which is probably why I am all emotional about it!
