I am having trouble posting messages, I did a long reply, let's see if this one posts.

Discovered what it is, my nickname box had my email address in ti, using a differnt computer as my mac has a sick screen and has gone to Apple Bupa!

Dinners ready, ( Sea Bass on roasted carrot and the ineveitable sweet potato and squash mash!) Will post again later.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 19/01/2007 19:25

Oh God SS that would be a disaster. they have trouble just getting out of the door in the morning and paying me let alone anything else. What do I do? I disguise vegetables under cheese. I pretend vegetables have magic powers or are in fact not vegetables at all!

StrawberrySnowflakes · 19/01/2007 19:35

blend them into sauces?..but what sauces can they eat?sounds like lots of extra work for you?

My most popular recipes with my toddler mindees are: Fish (coley), brocolli, red, orange peppers, homemade cheese sauce, Mash; Salmon, spinach, butternut squash, carrots, HM cheese sauce, tagliatelle; Tuna, yellow/orange peppers, pasta Broccolli on side; Shepherds pie, courgettes, carrots, peas, mash with sweet pots topped with cheese; HM meat balls in tomato sauce, courgettes, onion, sweet peppers, rice; Spaghetti bolognese made with added courgette, leeks, onion and carrot. Have always given baby mindees and toddlers cooked lunch and dinner, cook in batches several weeks in advance. pudding consists of Fromase Frais or fresh fruit. Occasionally I have tried them on HM rice pudding or semolina, not keen though.

I have recently taken on some before and after schoolies & have tried chicken blackbean sauce with noodles; Jerk chicken and spicy rice; spag bol; pancakes. I am finding the toddlers alot easier to please food wise than the older children!

wow thanks for those, think im going to have to spend a few hours in kitchen to start me off so i can freeze batches!

Sorry Im in the dont do big meals at lunch time camp. I dont provide an evening meal we have ours at 6 30pm after all mindees have gone, will and have always made that a family meal. Lunches are beans on toast, home made cauliflower cheese, soups, cold platters, sandwiches etc. A snack is given around 4pm of crumpets or cheese on toast etc and off they go by 6pm to have their evening meals at home.
