Currently on mat leave but returning to work in January(boo hoo).

Had an enquiry from a mum who wants 8am till 6pm Monday to Friday.I know her current minder(who is letting her go cos she wants an earlier finish)doesn't charge an awful lot.
I will only be able to have 1 under 5 as my 2 dd's are little.

Waht would you say is a fair rate to charge? I'm in Scotland btw.

Thanks

Just caught up with this thread...i'm in the midlands and charge £25 per day for access to the place 7,30-5.30 that's not particulaly high in my area about average I think. Anyway well done for sticking to your guns it's so easy to back down but when ever I have i always ended up resenting it, I hope you book the place soon and make sure that it filters back to this mum she'll end up regreting it

Well done for sticking to your fees!! I'm quite good about sticking to my fees but I have trouble telling parents my fees to start with!! Am getting more assertive though!

To those of you in Twickenham area- at the fees you were quoted!!

I'm in Chiswick and charge £4.00 or £4.50 with food! Some cms in my area charge £10 p/h but I thought that was a typo as a nanny gets less than that!!

Have had a couple of calls,1 for a 2yr old and 1 for an after school/holiday care.Could do both of them so fingers crossd.

The mum who thinks i'm too expensive has gone to see someone i know who is desperate for work and the cm has dropped her price by 35 quid
