Au pair agency recommendations

Can anyone recommend an au pair agency and give me a rough idea how they charge and how much?

I'm looking for a short term au pair (a couple of months) to help me out whilst I recover from an injury.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I have used agencies before, but their fees are very high (6 years ago I paid £400). I now buy premium membership to au pair world (£39 for 6weeks) and do it all myself,

That sounds very expensive. Given I'm only looking for a short term thing I don't think I'd want to fork out £400 just in agency fees.

How is au pair world different from an agency (other than being loads cheaper!)?

An agency vets the au pairs for you. Au pair world is just a website where you can look for and send messages to au pairs.

The agencies presented me with beautiful paperwork all organised and translated and a choice of a couple of girls. Chat on phone or Skype follow up references, confirm position.
Au Pair World I advertise the potential APs advertise so send me requests, I send some requests, chat to them narrow it down a bit, Skype interview, written references followed up with e-mails to referees, confirm position.
Didn't feel agencies 'earnt ' their money.
