I've read a lot on here about having a handbook for au pairs when they arrive. Does anyone have a sample they don't mind sharing please.
New one starting next week, so I'm thinking of things I can improve on.

I put loads of local broschures, train and bus timetables, amusement park/attraction leaflets, local college broschure, and childrens centre timetable.
Weekly routine
Emergency numbers
Date of birth of kids and GP details
Form for council discount card
Waitrose card application (free coffee)
Tesco card
Boots card
Superdrg card
Pret and Costa loyalty cards.
Bank account pack
Library info
Rail pass info
Links to local facebook groups
Phone no and details of local aupairs I know (old ap overlaps so introduces them.)
New Ap arrived 5 weeks ago and was thrilled. It only takes minutes to sign up for loyalty cards online and can be done before ap arrives. i set all passwords to Aupair2015 or similar for ease so she can go in and change them.

I also put list of phone numbers for children's friends parents / carers, some simple recipes, a list of house rules and a list of her jobs with a suggested daily routine (I have au pair plus who does some housework)

Thanks

A folder with the manuals for all the household appliances is handy too as they usually either have universal symbols or have instructions in the home language too.

Pre-loaded Oyster card is good if you live in London
