hello,
I am looking to recruit a babysitter.
She would need to be able to accomodate every week day from Mon - friday accomodating the hours : 07.00 - 08.30 am and then afternoon hours of 15.30 - 18.00.
I would like someone with a clean driving license.

Is there anyone out there who is able to assist?

That isn't a babysitter, you need a pre and after school nanny.

That's a nanny and you'll find it very tricky to find someone who can do morning and afternoon without wanting to be paid in between. What about school holidays? Could you have someone who would clean during the day.

You'll need to pay him/her properly via a payroll, doing all the tax/NI etc and offer a pension within the next year or so. Going rate in NW London is around £10 per hour after tax, probably less elsewhere in the country.

Do you have a car for their use? If you want them to use their own car, factor in mileage of 45p per mile.

PS if you can manage the mornings you might find it easier to find someone just to do the holidays. Sometimes people will do after school in term times and all day in holidays, for annualised pay, but you usually need to pay a higher than average hourly rate to reflect the small number of hours.

Happy for them to be a nanny... i am based in Cirencester, Gloucester - happy for them to live with me also if easier........... dont mind on costs.

How old are your children? Would an au-pair be an option?

Advertise locally and online on dedicated childcare listings sites like NannyJob.co.uk and Childcare.co.uk
Make the job appealing to a nanny with own child (if you would consider having someone bring their child with them).

Decide what salary you will pay and decide if you would let them take holiday during school term time, or if restricted only to during school holidays.
Look in to using nanny payroll company to do the taxation paperwork. NannyTax, NannyPaye, PayeForNannies, TaxingNannies to name but a few. Seek advice from them as to how to do term time only contract, holiday pay etc.
Think about your minimum criteria - do they need to drive, have their own car and if so how big a car?

Good advice from Cindy34. It's not a desperately attractive job in that it is very few hours and not all year round, but makes it difficult for someone to find another job (especially needing morning as well). Is there a school breakfast club that would work instead in the morning?

Might suit a student who could do it before and after college.

Sounds perfect for an au-pair 20 hrs per week. All day free for course. And only term time.
