We're about to hire a young woman to be our after school nanny, looking after three children from our and another family. The potential nanny has two other P/T jobs and will be working for us and the other family 3 days a week (3 days for their two children, two for our one). We want to pay her a fair wage but are not sure of the best way to do this. All parties are keen to be above board but don't think a nanny tax company would be able to cope with the complexity of different shares of the pay due from different families and the tax implications of her two other p/t jobs (one of which is a self employment role). Can anyone advise on the best way of doing this? Any thoughts/advice gratefully received!
