I need a nighttime sitter or nanny, about twice a month or so. They would need to bottle feed a month old baby and settle a 4 year oldchild. Im worried about leaving the baby with someone. Any recommendations? I dont mind paying a premium to get someone I could really trust.

What area are you in? You ideally could do with a nanny/childminder with baby experience, and the hourly rate would depend on where you are. This is something i would do to supplement my income (I am in Herts) I am a childminder, i also have 9 years experience as a nanny from newborn onwards (NNEB qualified) and my own son of 15mths.
Would you be requiring overnight care or just late hours?
Always check upto-date references. Most nannies and all childminders should be CRB checked/First Aid qualified already so ask to see the documents.

Are you looking for someone just for the evening, or for all night (such as say 7pm to 7am)?

For all night care, try doing a search on Google for 'Maternity Nurse' and/or 'Maternity Nanny' that should give you some places to contact. There is an agency called NightNannies which can help provide all night care.

For evening care only, then I would have thought you could get an experienced nanny, nursery worker, other childcare worker to babysit. As a babysitter myself, I care for babies from 3-days old, so I am sure there must be other babysitters around who also will care for young babies.
