I look after a little boy from 7.45-9am and then from 3.15 to 5.15pm. Which comes to 3 hrs 15 mins. Would you charge the 15 mins at a full hour or pro-rata it? I charge £3 an hour. Thanks.

I have a before school fee (1.5 hrs) and an afert school charge (3hrs) that way I don't have to do difficult sums

i do thiese hours too but charge only by the hour or half hour
so in your case i would charge from 7.30am till 9am which would be £4.50 for the morning

I would charge for the 3hrs 15mins. The only time I charge for a full hour is if a child does less than one hour total in the morning or less than one hour total in the afternoon.

Well Im glad I dont charge for exact times because it would hardly be worth me bothering for preschool.

Thanks. I mentioned to her that I might round it up to the hour and she seemed ok with this. I don't have fixed days with her, I do anything from before and after school twice a week and sometimes I don't do it at all! So I think I'll round up to compensate for the flexibility! Thanks for the advice.
