Is this a nanny housekeeper job? Is this possible?

One day a week I will need help with a nursery and school pick up when my eldest starts school in September and my youngest is still at nursery. School finishes at 3.15 and nursery 5pm and are a 20 mins walk apart so unlikely a childminder would wish to do it so I need to hire someone myself especially as the Reception age child is likely to need something to eat before getting her sibling. Until recently we had a v reliable (and extremely well treated cleaner) but after ten years she has started to show signs of wanting to stop so was wondering whether I was more likely to find someone to do this if I rolled the two jobs together and made it nearly a full days work and what would I call this? Nanny housekeeper/ mum shel

Sorry iPhone. Mums help? Or would I be better off keeping them separate? We pay well and are not worried about formal childcare qualifications but friendly and reliability count for a lot. We are zone 2 London

I think its worth a try - my cleaner babysits/ helps us out when I'm away for work and dh needs to be out of the house early/back later than late club

I would have job as nanny 2.30 -6.30 - whoever you hire should be capable to pick up eldest - pop home and give healthy snack and then go to pick up youngest and back for tea and for that person to arrive 2.30 to prepare tea

Then also say extra hours could be possible if the candidate wanted to do some cleaning /ironing

I'm just wondering whether I will find some one for four hours work once a week!

Hi, I'm new to all of this but desperately need some mum help...through my maternity leave we had thought that my mother and parents in law would look after my son when I returned to work. However, situations have changed and I am now having to look for part time childcare. I would ideally prefer an 'at home ' child minder who may also double up as a cleaner/housekeeper. Does such a thing exist. I live in the Brixton area. Does anyone know of any or where I might begin to look?
If this is not possible then am open to nursery discussions but again haven't a clue where to start.
I'm not a part of an NCT group or a mother and baby group so don't have anyone in the local area to ask. Please help Smile

Sainy, I would start your own thread or ask in the mumsnet local area to get a better response. Smile

Best of luck sainy. I did think NWOC
But it's an hour round trip to all the places... That's a hell of a lot unless child is buggy able
