Why is it acceptable for many parents to dump their sick children on childminders and then refuse to collect them or acknowledge the illness?

Usually masked by calpol, they didn't think anything of the runny poo all weekend or it's because they're teething!

Rant over! Sorry!

I don't think it's harsh. It protects against the 'idiots'. It's not in my policy (yet).

The thing is, you called your cm to discuss your child's high temperature. Many 'idiots' do not. They just foist their child into a setting without a word, often masking symptoms with calpol or such like. This then puts the other children and/or cm at risk of catching whatever they have.
