Additional Nanny Training

We are looking to offer our nanny training as our children develop and grow but I am finding it difficult to find anything other than basics on first aide and OFSTED registration classes.
I am looking for training around on how to cook for toddlers, toddler development, dealing with discipline and communication in toddlers. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you looked at MNT training? They have some excellent courses and come very highly recommended.

Have a look at your local council's Early Years website (if they have one!) My local council run conferences and training days which are mainly aimed at nurseriesand pre-schools but are open to anyone who works with children.
The last one looked at provision for boys, professional love and the new funding for 2yr olds (less relevant) It was really interesting!

It's great to hear of an employer who's keen to offer training! :)

We're also interested in providing training for our nanny as our twins get older. Can any of the cost of training be claimed back from the tax man?

Hi, I can also recommend MNT Training. Our Nanny has studied a fair bit with them. She got her Level 3 with them and has now gone on to their foundation degree. All done online, so it fits conveniently with her work. I believe they do lots of short CPD courses too. I've always found them very helpful.

LaserLearning and Educare have some CPD courses.

coursera has a nutrition/cooking course, American but useful none the less in other countries. It is Free, not certificated.
