Do you provide lunch to your live out nanny?

Hello,

Apologies for asking this basic question but I'm new to this. I'd like to know if you provide lunch to your live out nanny? Our nanny will take care of a 10 months and 5 months old babies (shared nanny).
If so, do you either live her some things in the fridge to make her own sandwich/assume she will eat whatever the kids eat but obviously not pureed/leave a bit of cash?

thanks!

I don't make her lunch but make it clear she can help herself from the fridge to make whatever she wants for lunch, within reason (i.e not things that are obviously for the evening meal). I wouldn't expect her to eat the same as the children all the time.

Of course.

during the settling in period (1 week), I asked my nanny what types of things she liked for lunch and I try to have at least some of those things in for her (cheese on toast, canned soups, jacket potato, etc). However, we have a 1yo & 3yo and she often eats lunch with them and just makes herself more of what she's making them.

If there is something clearly for dinner, etc I'll mention it to her.

Yes totally normal to provide lunch I've always been asked if there was anything in particular. But usually just say tinned soups bread ham etc. Some nannies may choose to bring their own lunch if they have any dietary needs etc but for the most we just eat what the children are eating.
