Yes a cert if a minder no if an assistant

Numbers may go up....or may not depends on other things eg inside & outside space; size of kitchen; equipment etc

If you pay a wage and a child gives notice you will still have to pay her

What if 2 give notice?
What hrs would she (or he) work

What about Tax & Ni (another 11% on top) of minimum wage (currently £5,35 phr)
& also SSP/SMP/holidays
Working hrs directive = breaks/time off/max number of hrs worked

sounds too much hard work
how come i cant have breaks etc

was thinking just for summer hols when were out and about from 9am till 6pm
i normally have about 8 children aged 5 to 10 (all boys) and a school mini bus to drive us in

what if (got someone in mind) a child aged 16 helped she is really good and has 6 siblings (shes the eldest) and doesnt know if she wants to work with children or hair
it could be like work experances

You can't have breaks because you choose not too

However it is more difficult for your employee to make a decision like hat as she could be seen to be prssured by you (iyswim) - so she's not allowed too

You couldn't employ someone that young for that long, - has she got a frind then you could employ them each 4.5/5 hrs that way if one goes sick you still have cover

When I considered this I wanted 2 or 4 girls each doing about 12- 15 hrs a week (it would be about 10-12 in your case) so if any dropped out I could keep the others (but them I am a panicker (sp?))

Would you have no babies?

all my babies are term time only

Katymac · 04/10/2006 14:15

That's nice - I have 9 under 2's and 6 5-9's

I must be doing something wrong
