Cutout skeletons that are jointed with those brass pins

Apples/bats/witches brroms/pumpkin faces to stick round the room (or on a piece of string if you need to pack away each nite)

Colouring in sheets (yes I know they are PC - but the kids love them)

Lots of apple puddings

spiders using yoghurt pots and pipe cleaners.

Make Bonfire cake, make a sponge and use matchstick chocolates to build up bonfire and decorate with orange and red butter icing (tastes disgusting but looks great!!)

Bats using hand prints as wings.

Footprint ghost (black paper and white paint, draw on face)

Pumpkin stain glass effect pictures.

Skeletons out of dried pasta shapes (you needs lots of different shapes) glued onto black paper
Ghosts - inflate balloon just a little & stick a white serviette/paper towel/tissues on top & add googly eyes. Can make bigger ones with fully blown balloons & cut up a pillow case.
Bats - cardboard tube for body, cut out wing & ear shapes from card & black bin bags - glue bin bag to card
Gravestones - cover cereal box with papier mache & paint (we put stones inside to weigh them down/help stand up)

I've found some parents consider halloween an inappropriate subject. So last year I stuck with bats & spiders - nothing evil in learning about insects & nature!

Make loose pompoms out of black wool, and use some longer bits for legs.

Also made ghosts out of white tissue paper and a cotton wool ball stuck inside at the top for a head, then tie at the neck.

Witches cake etc that has food colouring whirled in.

Small jellies that have the gummy worms in the bottom in plastic cups so you can see through.

Bats with hands as wings and loo roll bodies.

Also did pumpkins but they are hard work to scoop them out!

White ballons with eyeballs drawn on hung up!

Also did glittery pumpkins and faces on sticky plastic and then put another bit on the other side, so you could hang at the window (good for Christmas decs and cards as well)
