OFSTED next week- do I need to plan an activity to show them?

OFSTED are coming to do my first inspection next week. It's earlier than I expected, I've only been registered for 3.5 months!

Anyway, she is coming in the morning when I will have my DD who is 21 mths and 1 mindee who is 9 mths. (I collect a 4 year old from school at 12pm but hopefully she will go before then!!)

Normally in the morning we go out to toddler group, music or soft play centre and the rest of the day we spend playing toys, singing and reading books.

Will ofsted expect me to do a structured activity whilst she is here or should I just stick to playing toys with them. ( I guess I can't do anything too involved as they will want to ask questions and talk about things.)

The baby usually has a sleep in the morning for an hour or so. Maybe I should do something with DD then.

I'd be really grateful for any ideas of simple activities or opinions/ experiences of whether it is neccessary.

Thankyou

Don't worry, I don't think OFSTED will be expecting a wonderful activity to be going on with this age group and on your first inspection! They will be looking at basic standards I think; safety (stairs, cupboards, sockets, first aid kit etc), cleanliness (where do you change nappies, bin them, wash hands after, perhaps how you would deal with potty training (cleaning it after), feeding routines, sleeping arrangements, how you relate to the children (eye contact, smiling, talking, listening). It is useful to put all the paperwork on a table for them to be able to look through while you get on (cos I expect you'll be busy!). My inspecter needed a plug socket for her laptop. If there is something that will keep your older one wonderfully amused then that helps (I always get out the playdough - but perhaps everyone does?!)Make the place look as welcoming as possible - if you've got some nice stuff then get it out. And good luck!

.....But seeing the date perhaps they've already been.

I've got a 1 yr old and 3 yr old and if she comes later in the day i will have my 7 yr old too so anyone with any tips would be good, i've got my inspection due any day, i've thought about safety, hygiene etc (though any handy hints still welcome)
im thinking of activities so far i've thought about....

decorating biscuts at snack time with fruit and melted chocolate (or should i just stick to icing?)

story sack
train track (when dd2 age 1 is in bed as she rips up the track and the older ones moan and cry)
colouring pics (print outs) while i get lunch ready or i could just make it the night before.

any other ideas welcome.

Thanks for the advice Amphion.
Ofsted have actually moved the inspection to next week now as the days I was childminding changed slightly this week.

So still waiting, trying to keep relaxed and not worry too much

LMG good luck with your inspection. Hope it goes well
