Hi.... I have an electronic system and there is a part for doing accounts. It says

Food and Drink Allowance:

Enter below the amount you have allocated each child within your setting for each individual meal that you provide them throughout the day.

These figures will be used to help calculate your tax return for all the children in your setting, in addition if you charge extra for meals, the figures you enter below will also be used within each child's individual monthly invoice, you can specify for each child if they should be charged for meals and which meals they should be charged for.

For example: If you have calculated that it costs £1.95 to create lunch for each child in your setting aged between 12-60 months, enter £1.95 in the lunch column for 12-60 Months below.

So I have entered £2 for Lunch and £2 for dinner since this is what I charge my parents.

My question is this: If I have done that, do I still enter in the actual costs of the peas on my expenses sheet or is this counting the peas twice?

I have been doing both, but im worried that im doing it wrong.

TIA

No you would not now enter the peas.....you would be charging twice.

There are 2 ways or doing it.
You either allow a set amount per meal per child and deduct that or you put food bills through as an expense (doing it as an expense is more complicated as you have to work out what is family and what is mindees etc)
