& a third (or is it 4th??)

Name some speech impairments that may cause a barrier to language and communication development

So far I have Stammer, Cleft plate, Confidence problems, Hearing impairment may cause speech difficulties

I'm not very good at this am I?

time sample of behaviour - would be looking for repetitive behaviour of a period of time and then analyse by recording the antecedent, behaviour and consequence (ABC) and then you'd look at how you could adjust the behaviour to a more appropriate outcome

not sure about target child but would (in my field - am a challenging behaviour nurse) use the ABC approach as above and probably be introducing some kind of token eceonomy (stickers, coins in jar etc - supernanny style)

negotiation would be answer to approachs to care, set action plan, if not working than either party would probably withdraw contract?

learning disabilities / difficulties can affect language development

Thanks - I had done the shared care one with a trial period - so that's the same

I thought that SN/learning difficulties & the hearing impairment weren't technically a speech impairment?

no they are all associated difficulties - couldn't think of anything specific then those listed but thought it might just add some depth to your knowledge.

A child with a hearing impairment might experience difficulties with language development so this would count. If you include something like this in your evidence, it shows that you are recognising the impact of SEN/SN on the holistic development of the child.

As for the target child obs, I have never heard of this method. All my obs were based on a target/subject child. I never came across a particular method. Sorry, that's not much help!
