Au-pair - what do you think is reasonable pay?

hi there - I've had some great advice already before we embark on having our first au pair to stay! I just wanted to ask what you thought was reasonable pay. I have a 2yo DD and 5yo DS and will need them to be picked up both from the childminder/school at 3/3.30 two days a week and then keep them happy until 6 when i finish work (might be home-working or office-based - not sure yet). That's mainly it really - I don't have a cleaner, and struggle with keeping everything tidy and washing, so would be great to get some help there - is that within the au pair remit? and I also get some ad hoc hours at work, so maybe an hour or two elsewhere in the week so they can play with the 2yo while i do a spot of work. But I guess I wouldn't need more than 25 hours a week altogether - we live in north london.
Also, would you go through an agency or a website? i'm getting really conflicting advice!
Thanks

25 hours, including light housework, is standard au pair hours. On top of that you usually get two free babysittings a week. In London £80-95 a week seems standard for au pairs. On top of that you obviously provide accommodation, utilities, food and reimburse any travel costs they incur in the course of their duties.
