Nanny redundancy...how to calculate

Just a quick one, assuming a nanny has been with us more than two years - are we obliged to give her a week's pay for each year with us as redundancy, or is there another calculation?

We love our nanny, but may be moving away and need to get all our ducks in a row...

Yes if she has been with you more than two full years you need to pay her one weeks gross pay for every full year of service completed, up to a certain amount. Can't remember off hand what it is but you can google it, think it varies according to age and length of service to.

It's up to 12 years (or was when I was made redundant in 2009). Any more and it sticks at 12 weeks pay.

half a week’s pay for each full year you were under 22
1 week’s pay for each full year you were 22 or older, but under 41
1 and half week’s pay for each full year you were 41 or older

And is capped at £430 gross so if a 5 day nanny you don't need to pay them whole weeks gross salary and if a 2/3day nanny then you pay up to what they earn gross a week so if less then £430 gross would be that iyswim
