I have to speak to my childminder about not allowing my 3 year old to watch 6 hours of tv a day. Please reassure me I'm not being precious. Any hints on how to approach it. I'm really pissed off / anxious about it and I'm afraid I'll come across passive aggressive Sad Sad

It's been a very long and hard-fought battle to stop the media using the term "childminder" for anyone in charge of someone else's charge - usually when things go wrong.

That's why people have highlighted it in the Op's case.

In fact, I think the Op is more touchy and unpleasant than those who have tried to correct her - no-one has yet told her she can "piss off" Hmm

How rude op !!!!

Feel free to piss off and then we won't have to reply to anything you write

People were giving you advice

Cm don't like being called nannies and vice versus. They have diff roles esp with paperwork and ratios of ages children they can look after

MildDrPepperAddiction, is this a UK childminder you're talking about?

Have you reported her?

adsy · 28/06/2014 07:16

drpepper I assume you witnessed the CM strapping the children in their buggies and parking them in front of the TV.
What did she say when you told her to let them out?

MildDrPepperAddiction · 30/06/2014 13:46

Asdy, yes I did witness it. My son was strapped in to a pushchair and parked in front of TV when I went to collect him one day. He doesn't go there any more.

That's shocking mild did you report it? Was she Ofsted registered?? I struggle to fathom why some people enter this profession!
