Nanny for short term contract?

I am self employed- picking up freelance contracts for about 6-12weeks at a time. It's likely I will go back to work in October when my baby is 6 months old, as have lined up a 12 week contract. But timing is vague and will likely only be 2 weeks notice to it starting.

I will want a nanny to care for my baby but not sure on

  1. How likely it is that I can get a nanny for a fixed term period
  1. What impact the short term notice of starting will have on candidates and when I should start looking

3.if it's more expensive to get short term - and if do how much more (I'm in London).

Any advice on this and other things to consider would be appreciated

I do temp /emergency nannying but not in your area

  1. yes you can book a nanny ?ike me for a 4/8/12 week contract or just for a day or two

  2. I can be booked up for 3/4mths tho if I finish a position I can also be at the end of it with nothing the following week and then day later be booked - ie you could find someone within 2 weeks - but could also be hard - esp if you want someone with baby exp - def harder if you don't know exact starting date

  3. I wouldn't say it's more or less money short term
