To do school drop-offs and pick-ups and stay until 6pm? Looking to share one with a friend and have no idea where to start. Any recommendations?

Being a Nanny myself, The first place I go to advertise when I'm looking for work is Childcare.co.uk greatcare.co.uk findababysitter.co.uk so on there you will find plenty of people. Also can advertise yourself on gumtree and directgov.

nanny agency
nannyjob.co.uk and other job listing sites. Be prepared to pay, as you are placing an advert.

local newspaper, community newsletter, local ad board in a shop.

All sorts of places can be used and will get various results depending on location. Consider who would do the job - who want's to work just a few hours. How far away would they live? I would guess they will be very local, as travelling costs money.

Nanny shares can be complicated, so do seek advice about contracts between you and your friend as well as between you and your employee. Nanny payroll companies can be good to contact to see what advice you can get for free, and what advice you can get once you subscribe to their service - you will need to produce payslips and will probably need to run PAYE, so a payroll service is handy (cost £99-£250 a year).
