after-hours supplementary childcare for after-nursery drop-offs?

wonder if anyone can help with this (apologies if its long). I'm in the process of separating from my H. H is still living in the marital home but is moving out at some point over the next 2-3 months.

Both of us work full time, dd (nearly 3) is in full time childcare. She's very happy there and I don't want to move her unless its absolutely necessary but the commute is quite difficult.

I'm about to start a new (FT) job which is going to be quite demanding and in general I won't be able to leave early enough to pick up DD within the hours the childminder works.

H has said he will help with this in the short term but after he moves out he can't guarantee being able to do pick-ups every evening as he will have to find accommodation he can afford etc.

Does anyone know if there are services available which provide a childcare pick-up service after hours? almost like an after-school club or something, just for the hour or so that she would need to wait before I got home?

Only other alternative I can see is a nanny (which I can't afford) or nanny share which I probably could at a push but am very loathe to move DD to a different provider, particularly not coinciding with my H moving out.

Babysitter/Uni Student perhaps.

How about other childminders, does yours perhaps close earlier than others? What is the timing you need?

Cindy don't think babysitter would be reliable enough -- it would probably be more days than not. And FYI I don't have any family living nearby. Thanks though.

I would really need the childminder to be able to take her until at least 6.30pm, or ideally and this is a big ask for someone from the childminder to be able to bring her home after nursery. My dream scenario would be to make a deal with one of the childminders there who lives reasonably close for her to drop my DD at home every day and stay with her for the 15-20 minutes until I got home but I think that would be a big ask and would probably cost too much to be viable.

Any other ideas anyone?

Have you asked the childminder if she can have your DD for longer? It may be negotiable - I've regularly done up to 8pm before. You might have to pay a bit more, but worth having the discussion.

ZuleikaD yes I have and I'm still waiting for the response. I think that's probably my best hope and probably worth offering to pay a bit more to make it happen.
Thanks

A babysitter might work, when I was at college I looked after 3 kids from 7am until the nanny arrived at 8.30 each morning. After the youngest started school I did an hour before and 3 hours after school, taking them to and from school. Obviously it depends on your circumstances but it might be with considering :)
