Temp work & CV

CV is beginning to look very bitty as I've temped quite a bit over the last few months

As I've only been nannying for 18months I feel it's all relevant experience

Do I need it on there?

I would say yes, and you can alway have it under the job title 'temporary nanny' and elaborate a bit more in the description of what you did.

I've always added it into my cv but an agency I wanted to register with said it looked bad. I would assume it's better to stay in the game and still be working then sitting around and not be.

I've been temping for years and have always included these on my CV - in particular temp jobs lasting 2 weeks - 5/6 months. I usually do temp daily jobs and have put the agency I'm signed up with on my CV with a detailed paragraph about the types of temp jobs I've carried out through them. I feel this is better because prospective parents are also able to talk with the agency staff who have known and worked with me for years.

I've temped the last 2 years and have had all the families on there. It shows I have been in continuous work and also had refs for any jobs that have been in unless a day tho generally my jobs are a month or two - plus include all mat work (on 4th family this year with newborns)

Def better to have temp work on cv then blank
