Please help with advice.

Child been with me for four months. Hasn't settled well. Lots of issues with attention seeking behaviour. Cannot bear it if I talk to the other children.

Is three and was completely potty trained four months ago. Has had a couple of accidents but nothing out of the ordinary.

But in the past week or so, has started weeing everywhere. Here and at home.

Do I suggest going back into nappies or will this make things worse?

Sorry for berevity, trying to stay anonymous.

My own 3 year old is the same, dry for months then 10 accidents a day, he's being checked by a paediatrician though as always has to go to the toilet urgently. I definitely wouldn't suggest nappies again.

I'd suggest an urgent GP appointment to check for a UTI.

YourHandInMyHand · 16/10/2013 19:35

I would also suggest GP check him for a UTI.

I do know someone whose daughter (otherwise dry for a year or more) wees herself on purpose when she is cross or wanting attention, a bit like throwing a tantrum. I hope it's not anything like that as a UTI would be easier to deal with.

Minderjinx its a bit like that.....waiting till I'm fully occupied with another child then woosh.

I was a CM and although not had this problem with any mindees, I did have this with ds2 although was more of a poo issue than just wee. He's been perfectly trained for a year and then started doing up to 9 poo accidents every day and it was very hard work. I was pretty sure it was anxiety issues linked to getting ready to start school but I took him to the GP to check no other issues. He referred me to a Paediatrician who then referred us to CAHMS. What I'm saying is I'd recommend GP as whether it's a UTI or behavioural issue, something needs to be done and the GP would be the best person to discuss this with. Definitely would NOT recommend starting back in nappies. Good luck. I still have poo issues at times (now hiding dirty things, it's horrible) and this is over a year on :(

Thank you looneytunes. I think that ties in with the other anxious behaviour, I'll mention it to the mum.
