Anyone used a Buggypod?? or Triple buggy?

Advice please,

Looks like I'm going to be minding 3 under 15mths!!

So I wondered if anyone had used a buggy pod they clip on the side of a single or double buggy can be seen at www.twinsthings.co.uk/buggypod.htm. It would be perfect if it's safe and not to bad to push.As on the days I don't have all 3 then I can just fold it up and leave it on the side of the buggy.

Or as I already have a double buggy shall I just get a triple. If so can anyone recommend one. My double and single buggys are both maclarens and Ive always been happy with them, but I'm thinking a triple maclaren might be too heavy to push Any ideas suggestions gratefully received Thanks

I've heard bad things about the pod. However, no first hand experience. Search the archives.

what about attaching your double and single buggys together with these they are also sold on ebay.

My sister had newborn twins and her 11mnth old. She had a triple buggy from Gordons in Manchester (they are on the net) but it is very pricey and just the maclaren twin traveller with another maclaren buggy attached.

Have just been practising with my double and single buggy with makeshift buggy connectors(tree ties) seem to work ok easier than I thought still steers ok.Will order buggy connectors as only £16 so cheaper than a triple by far!!. Will let you all know how I get on.

Any info on buggy pod anyone?

We bought a buggypod to attach to the side of a phil and teds double - although the people we ordered it from had it on the list of 'compatible' buggys once the pod was attached the combination was unstable and dangerous. (It's little wheel was insufficent to cope with the sideways movement if the buggy went over a bump with one wheel, throwing the whole lot upwards and over)
We returned it, complained that it was dangerous and got a full refund.
I've been looking at triples on ebay but they don't come up very often, gordon's triples are about £120 ish when I've seen them.
We are now using a Maclaren twin traveller plus buggyboard (as we are transporting 2 non-walkers and a 2.5yr old walker).
Best solution I've seen is the double adventure buggy with a kiddie seat that clips on at the handlebar level - but it's about £600 and they aren't importing to the UK at the moment. They will deliver one from NZ to your door but blooming expensive... Am desperately searching ebay for a second hand one.
Good luck with the connectors - def sounds like the easiest solution!

I use a triple Gordons buggy for my mindees. It is a bit of a monster of a thing because it is obviously so wide - I use it locally when we go for walks, which includes visiting a local toddler group, music group and soft play at sports centre.

It fits through the staggered railings around where I live, and can easily go through doors at community centre (opening both doors as you would for a double buggy).

I drag it sideways into a lift at our sports centre (I tip it forwards so that only front swivel wheels are in contact with the ground). This is definitely not much fun.

It would be useless to use in the same way that people might use a double buggy - it wouldn't fit through shop doors (but I don't need it for that), and obviously needs manhandling to get it in through my front door unless it is folded up. If mindees are asleep, I hope that one of my dds is around to help lift it in!!

The buggy is on long-term loan from my networking group. I would consider buying one for myself if I had to, but it does have limitations.

It folds up really well!

Thanks for all info. buggy connectors haven't arrived yet,I think they will be ok for now but i'll keep an eye out on ebay, netmums, tamba ect to see if a cheapish triple comes up. Definately will not be getting buggy pod, such a great idea what a shame the design lets it down.

Hiya

I too may be cm 3 under 18mths - I have a double buggy at the mo - so don't really want a triple. I was thinking about a connector or buggypod.

Any ideas -I have a maclaren twin at the mo.

thanks

eBay UK have several triple buggy's on today, new ones from kidskargo and a gordons pre owned, also a preowned 3 wheeler with a front toddler seat and newborn back seats.

I have now bought Prince LionHeart Buggy Connectors but as my double and single Maclaren haven't got exactly the same frame they don't work!! I think I will just have to get myself a triple buggy plus a new shed to store it in, don't fancy having a triple buggy hanging aroung in my hall. I have been totally put off the buggypod sounds dangerous, haven't heard a good word about it from anyone who has used it, hopefully they will sort out the design/safety issues and make a better one in the future as it's a great idea if they can get it right.
