Hi
I work ad a nanny but do extra work around my main job.
I am.going to be looking after three children a couple of evenings a week whilst their mum works.
She requested someone ofsted registered so presumed she was using vouchers.
She isnt though she is using childcare tax credits
She said she has spoken to them and its all ok as long as ofsted registered and they just need my address and ofsted number. Is this all correct, i have seen other posts with employers paying this way so presume thats ok.

How do i get paid though is it paid directly to me or is it paid to the parents account and then she pays it to me? Cant find any info on this
Thanks

It's the mums responsibility to claim it and it will be an amount dependant on their circumstances towards their childcare costs. She just pays you and they pay her what she's entitled to.

Assuming you are in England, yes it is fine. All things as per usual nanny job, so employer operating PAYE.

WTC5 I think is the HMRC booklet which explains it. The employer can include employers NI and payroll admin cost in their tax credit claim.

Parent pays you. Consider what happens if the parent does not get the money from tax credits on time... would you wait or demand payment? Make sure contract has something about that.
