nanny share costs

would a nanny be paid more for looking after 2 children from 2 different families (1yr & 2yrs ish) as a nanny-share, than for looking after 1 child from 1 family? There is no extra travel because the 2nd child will be dropped at the home of the 1st. So I feel the nanny shouldn't be paid much more, but she wants more for the 2nd child. can anyone advise?

Generally yes.

Though in this job market ime, no. I have seen other posters say the opposite though.

If she has been working for a set wage for one family and you now want to introduce the share then it is reasonable for her to want more. Shares are harder than single family jobs.

I think she should be paid more. It is more complicated and she will be reporting to two sets of parents.

Will it be harder for them to arrange holiday, as two sets of families to fit in with.

Is it a case of working for one of the families, then adding in the new family? More pay could be expected then but if starting out as being two families, harder to justify more pay in current climate I feel.
