Found a great nanny. Is there a checklist somewhere for what I need to have in place?

First time employing a nanny. We're meeting next week to go over details and she'll start in September.

I'll be using a tax company for that side of things - any recommendations? And what else? Thanks.

crb check (has a new name)
First Aid up to date?
check your household insurance to see if it covers employer's liability
check her car insurance and nanny liability insurance
check her MOT and service on the car if you really fancy it
Nanny tax - I use PAYE for Nannies and really rate them. So patient with all my dumb questions. Really like them. THey have a legal line too.
Expenses float - how will you run that? previous nanny used to spend up to 100 then we'd reimburse, current insists on being in funds before she'll spend a penny. Both note expenses in a notebook, hand in receipts.
ask what she likes for lunch and get some in for her.
Get together a list of classmates / nursery pals parents' / nannies' contact details for her to arrange playdates, also emergency contacts / useful stuff like dentist / your parents etc.
Arrange a few playdates / meetings for her to get into local nanny gang when she starts?
Get a few key recipes together if your children are into particular foods.
She's going to be in your house on her own operating all the machinery and trying to locate stuff - do you need any instructions for eg the wifi or complicated stereo / tv / dvd operating? I need a flipping flowchart to work ours...

Agree a gross wage
Have a good contract in place
Make sure you've costed everything accurately (don't want any nasty surprises)
Make sure you have employers liability insurance
