Hi

I've completed my Ofsted application to join the Early Year's register and I'm waiting to get the date for my inspection visit. I completed a course run by my local ahthority a few months ago but it didn't really cover what we should expect during the registration vist. I've written my policies and procedures, purchased PACEY contracts, made child record forms and registers, installed a fire blanket/fire extinguisher/baby proofing equipment, bought a double buggy & extra highchair, conducted risk assessments for every room the minded children will use, and added some extra toys to my DD's existing play room. What else do I need to do? Judging by some of the old threads on here I need to be fully briefed on observations, especially for two year olds but my College course didn't cover this in any depth so I'm nervous. Also, how well am I supposed to know the EYFS framework? How detailed are the questions going to be? I've only ever read the summary.

Any guidance/shared experiences would be extremely helpful.

Many thanks in advance

I'm in a very similar position but not yet posted off the Ofsted forms. The ofsted website has a couple of documents about preparing for your registration visit - one with boxes you can make notes on with questions the inspector is likely to ask.
