CM house move - how long before you were able to mind in your new property?

I'm moving house in the next 4-5 weeks.

I have not been inspected at all since my Registration in late 2011. (Was contacted but had no children on role at that time).

What are the chances of me being able to be up and running more or less straight away in my new property?

I have not informed Ofsted of the move yet as we have not exchanged co tracts or even got a definite date.

When i moved 5 years ago, i wrote to ofsted informing them that i would be moving and included a sort of risk assessment of my new premises eg how exits and back garden would be made safe, that kitchen cleaning cupboard would have child lock on, fire plan etc and i received my new certificate with new address on a few days before i actually moved so i moved on a friday and was minding on the tuesday.

Just long enough to do the risk assessment.
We moved on the Friday, got organised over the weekend and opened on the Monday.
Just make sure you tell Ofsted Grin

Thanks Smile
I'd love a couple if weeks off but I have new starters on 2nd September so it might not be possible.

Will ring Ofsted next.
Going to get all my paper work up to date as I suspect that this will trigger an inspection. So need to be super organised.

If you're in Wales, PACEY have just alerted their members that they need an inspection and new certificate before they recommence minding.

It used to be the case in England, was completely unworkable and abandoned. I do hope they won't bring it back in Shock

Yikes!

I am we'll over due an inspection.
So that's my fear that there will be a delay. As I have read that if you have not had an inspection in the current cycle then they might come out and do a full inspection and then give you a new certificate.

But obviously it won't be a proper inspection as there will be no children present!
Confused

When we moved house in 2008, I was told I couldn't childmind in the new house unless I had a certificate of registration with my new address on it. They wouldn't issue this until the day I moved and as I remember it was with me either the next day or the day after. I was back working that quickly, my priority for unpacking were rooms the children used and unpacked boxes were stored in the garage out of the way. I had to send a risk assessment to ofsted to show how the house would be made safe. I was never inspected in that house. When we moved in 2010, it triggered an inspection, but again I think the certificate came through quite quickly.
