Despite always saying I never want to be a live e in ...there's now a good chance I will be in September (if things work out!)!!

And I've no idea where to begin wrt things I need and rules/boundries/pay! (Things they've asked me to tell them what I want!)

Any help and advice would be hugely appreciated!!

I had a live in nanny and found it a nightmare because the boundaries were so easily blurred. Even in a big house I felt crowded. Ask for a list of set tasks and work set hours, and keep yourself to yourself, don't be tempted to sit with the parents in the evening and watch telly.

We had a log book but then it came to the end of the month and the nanny would say she had worked loads of overtime rather stick to specified hours. This drove me nuts especially because she used to waste time refold laundry I had folded because she was tidier than I am but that is another story.

Also it got to me when I had just had a baby but the nanny had done her hours and I was slaving over a hot stove while she made small talk with my husband in the sitting room while I cooked for them.So you might want to eat separately.

If I'd was going back to live in nannying I'd want;
Own bathroom preferably ensuite
A comfortable bed full size single or bigger
To be able to choose own bedding/towels
A closet and drawers
Nothing of families in my room
A kettle and small fridge space permitting
Able to use the kitchen during my off hours
A tv and wireless usage
Up to 12 hours of work Monday through Friday
Up to two week night baby sits that can't be carried over until the next week
Extra pay for weekend work and proxy parenting
Above £350 net per week
No curfew
Allowed people over to visit
A family that traveled some weekends or had morning activities so there's one morning I don't hear children first thing.
To be treated with respect in regards to privacy
A lock both on inside and outside of door

Oh also I'd like to eat with the children or at ny own leisure so to be able to add food onto grocery list of a minimum £30 extra per week to buy my own groceries but still be able to use the basics in the kitchen.
I'd also like to be able to do my washing with the children's during the week.
I'm a maternity nurse and before that was a live in nanny for 5 years so I've lived in multiple family homes. The nicest is where the family respect your duties and rest time. Kind of like a house share all pitching in but not friends sitting together every evening. The best thing is clear communication and don't let the small things build up.
