Pay question - nanny with own child

Hi

We are looking for a nanny to look after our 7 month old DD 8am-6pm mon to fri ( 2 days per week 9am-5pm when I work from home).

We have had a reply to our advert from a nanny who would want to bring her own 9 month old to work with her.

We are interviewing her shortly but I was wondering whether someone could help with a salary range that we would need to offer a nanny with her own child?

We live in north London zone 5, I understand general salary expectation for sole charge role to be about 10/hr net. What discount to this would you expect for a nanny bringing her own child? (As would become a shared care role)

Thanks

Maybe around £10ph gross (which would be around £8ph net).

Maybe a bit less, depending on her experience/qualifications.

Knock 20-25% off.

As a nanny with own child myself, very similar ages to your lo London based as well I think you can offer anything from £7.50-£8.00 gross up,depending on experience, qualifications etc

Yes £7-£8.50 net ph. Also she should cover expenses that relate to her bringing her own baby eg double stroller or extra high chair, car seat etc you may need. She should supply own nappies & wipes...food would be a grey area with such a small child and so close in age to your child you might want them to eat the same but for her to reimburse you a token amount for her babies meals.
