Contract NOT signed

After a lot of consideration I've chosen to hand my notice in as a nanny when I find another job.

I've just realised my contract isn't signed by either of us - am I right in thinking that if it isn't signed it is invalid?

I'd think if you've been working under the conditions of the contract for a while, you both will have assumed to accept them, even if not signed. Might be worth posting in legal for advice.

Does not need to be signed. You agreed to do the work when you accepted payment for the work.

Best to give notice as specified in the written agreement.

Look on ACAS website, "written statement".

The contract has never really been stuck to. Mboss is constantly late home - never pays the extra or gives time of in lieu ( which contract states)

Guna post in legal and see what happens

Is it worth disputing ? might affect any references if you make the break acrimonious over a small detail.

I would think the only difficulty that could arise from it not being signed and dated is that you have no proof you didn't just make that contract up yourself.
