Childminders - suggestions for Magazine Subscription

I am a newly accredited EYE Childminder. I am well experienced in childcare and also qualified.

I would like to take out a magazine subscription to keep up my motivation! I like the idea of craft ideas; festival dates; EYE; OFSTED updates....all the usuals.

The PACEY magazine is great, but I would like to subscribe to something else.

Any suggestions? Practical Pre-School? Nursery World? EYE magazine.

Also, any codes for new subscribers would be gratefully received!

Many thanks

Creative Steps, if you like art. Online version is free if you are a Gold member at Childcare.co.uk
HomeChildcarer is free for the digital version, or costs for print version.

Practical Pre-School are offering 15% off subscription at the moment, via Google Adwords Ad. Google Practical Preschool Offer and it should be in the sponsored ad slots at top of google listing.

With the print magazines it is hard to know which is best for you... so if you can get to a conference/exhibition, then the magazines are sometimes available from there for free, along with a subscription offer. So you can see an issue before deciding to subscribe. If you can not get to an exhibition but know the magazine will be there, such as EYE and Practical PreSchool being at Early Years 2013 try emailing them and asking nicely if they could send you a sample issue, or link to a digital issue, so you can see an issue before subscribing. Never know, they may well do that - it's in their interest to get you to subscribe.

I find EYE to be the most inspiring: loads of good articles based on practice and new ideas. I love Peter Dixon's Little Treasures series at the end, too.

There's also an online magazine The Essential Childminder, written for childminders by childminders and very good.
