Will Nannies still be registered with Ofsted if/when Childcare Vouchers end?

BBC NEWS: Parents 'to be able reclaim up to £1,200 of childcare costs'

The BBC are reporting that "funding will come from the abolition of the previous system of government childcare vouchers", so is this the end of the Childcare Vouchers scheme? If it is, then what will happen with regard to nannies... wonder if to reclaim up to £1200, parents will still need to use approved/registered childcare.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

They seem to be saying nannies are outside it (as they are not registered) as I think this to be a perk for the relatively poor, excluding mothers on high salaries, who use nannies etc. But we shall wait to see. As most full time childcare for 2 or 3 children full time is about £25k to £30k £1200 is so pathetic that they might as well not bother.

I imagine so. This is vouchers under a different name as far as I can see.
